**** And the winner of Pavarus goes to…..Kathy Lewis! ****
Welcome to the Naughty New Year Bloghop! I will be giving away a free e-copy of Pavarus, and our hop host, Skye Warren, will be giving away two grand prizes – a $100 gift card to EdenFantasys and a digital gift basket of 10 erotic books.
I had never thought to have a writing resolution for 2013, but when Skye had suggested it as an example to write our post about, I thought the idea was great.
I have many books in the making, but my 2013 writing resolution is to finish the last three books to my Finding Home Series. It has been a much harder task to write about a paranormal world filled with vampires, dragons, and magic folk than I thought it would be – not to mention these books are the first I’ve written in the m/m genre. I’d never thought I’d be writing about intimate scenes between men, but I think I’m doing pretty good so far. 🙂
Below’s excerpt is a little naughtier than what I normally share, but what the hey, this is a Naughty New Years Bloghop after all.
Thrown into another world where dangerous creatures live and rule, will Wesley stay and find love with a vampire, or will the terrors of an unknown realm have him running home?
On a camping trip in Louisiana, Wesley finds himself sucked down a hidden portal and thrown into another realm where he meets Remus, a warrior vampire. With the help of Remus, Wesley embarks on an adventure to find his way home, back to a world not filled with vampires and dragons and magic folk. Along his journey, the handsome vampire finds his way into Wesley’s heart. But will his love for Remus overcome his fears of the creatures that reign in this world?
Remus has never wanted a man before, but finds himself drawn to Wesley despite his denying efforts. He’s happy with his life as the Commander of the vampires, and has had no interest in finding a mate. But after Wesley is kidnapped, Remus discovers his feelings for the man are stronger than he thought. Is he strong enough, though, to honour Wesley’s wish to return home, and let go of the man he loves?
Standing up, Wes grabbed the front of Remus’ shirt and pulled him gently towards the bed. Halfway there, Remus understood what Wes wanted and began removing Wes’ clothes. By the time they’d reached the bed, Wes was naked. Remus lightly pushed him, urging him to lie down. Wes watched as he quickly disrobed, their gazes never breaking.
Remus crawled onto the bed and lay down beside him. He ravished him with another kiss, Wes lazily delighting in the taste of his man. They took their time, exploring each other. Wes ran his tongue along every curve, every ripple, every crevice of Remus’ body. His lover moaned, groaned and even whimpered a few times under Wes’ touch, and Wes wriggled just as much under Remus’ caresses. His breath was scorching against Wes’ sensitive skin. The callouses of Remus’ rough hands sent shivers down his spine. He loved that Remus’ touch was so different to his own. Where he was soft, Remus was rough. Where he was weak, Remus was strong. Where he had fear, Remus had courage.
He loved him.
Wes rolled them till he was straddling Remus’ waist. Reaching over, he grabbed the glass bottle of oil that had never made its way back to the bathroom. Remus’ lust-filled eyes widened and he began breathing more heavily. Wes coated his fingers with the oil then leant down and kissed Remus gently. While he explored his man’s mouth he reached behind him and prepared himself.
Remus’ breaths became more ragged. “Gods, Wesley, you’re driving me crazy,” he said, his voice husky with desire. “You think I don’t know what you’re doing?”
Wes smiled against his lips. He knew. His own moans and grinding against his lover made it clear what he was doing. He just liked to feel Remus squirm beneath him.
“Wesley,” Remus croaked out. If the hard, leaking shaft pressed against his own wasn’t a sign that Remus was more than ready, the man’s pleading eyes were.
Wes sat up and reached for the oil, then poured a generous amount into his hand. He fisted Remus’ erection, spreading the oil over it. Remus hissed, his hips arching off the bed.
He placed his free hand on the Remus’ chest, steadying himself. “Easy, love,” he soothed, running his hand over the roped muscles of Remus’ stomach.
Remus stopped moving and his eyes glazed over with hunger.
